Tekmar control system

tekmar Controls are typically used in hydronic (water distributed) heating systems to increase the level of comfort and reliability. You will often find tekmar controls in buildings that have in-floor heating installed. The addition of control for domestic hot water, forced air heating, ventilation and cooling provides for an all-inclusive system. Contractors select integrated components that range from thermostats and sensors to outdoor reset controls and automatic snow & ice detectors; depending on the individual system design.

Tekmar Thermostat

tekmar Thermostats are available in both non-programmable and programmable types. Many offer a display-screen user interface with button operated menus. In tekmarNet®4 systems, thermostats can share outdoor temperature, system status and scheduling information with each other.

TekmarNet®4 Integrated HVAC Control System

tekmarNet®4 provides two-way communication between thermostats & system controls. Many tekmar products released since 2005 are tekmarNet®4 (tN4) capable. tN4 communication is combined with sophisticated control functions to integrate heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning equipment. This integration allows the HVAC equipment to operate as one, optimizing overall system performance.

tekmarNet®4 products provide a new level of flexibility. Their modular nature provides for a wide range of system designs. Choose an outdoor reset module that fits the boiler and DHW requirements, and zone managers for your preference of zone pumps or valves. Expansion modules provide an easier way of incorporating an additional mixed temperature or another set of zone valves or pumps. tekmarNet®4 Thermostats provide scheduling, setback, and integration with the air side system.

Contact FIA Inc for more information on the tekmarNet4 control.

Benefits:

  • Heating, ventilation & air conditioning can be fully coordinated & scheduled
  • System information is available to all devices on the tN4 network (bus connection)
  • Cost is reduced through elimination of redundant components

tekmar Zone Managers

Tekmar Zone Manager

Zone Managers provide an easy connection between tekmarNet®4 (tN4) thermostats and zone pumps or zone valves. They also provide power to the tN4 thermostats from an internal transformer.

The Dual Zone Manager 337 allows for control of two separate temperatures. For each water temperature, one zone group pump and three zone valve outputs are available.

Zone Managers come installed in the right side of an 'L' Enclosure. They can have a Zone Expansion Module, Mixing Expansion Module or an Outdoor Reset Module added in the space provided on the left side of the enclosure.

Benefits:

  • Powered Zone Group Pump Output
  • Simple Wiring
  • owered Outputs for either zone valves (335, 337) or zone pumps (336)
  • Dedicated terminal connections for tN4 Thermostats per zone

tekmarNet®4 Thermostats

Tekmar Programmable Thermostat

tekmarNet®4 (tN4) Thermostats range from the 541 with one stage of heat to the full featured 546 with outputs for two stages of heat, two cooling, and 2 fans (can be used for a multi-speed fan or HRV/ERV unit). Lower cost thermostats can be set to follow a master schedule in more complex models. This provides an excellent price point without missing out on advanced features.

tN4 thermostats can work with Zone Managers or on a stand-alone basis.

In tekmarNet®4 systems, thermostats can share outdoor temperature, system status and scheduling information with each other. For systems with zone managers, thermostats are wired back to individual terminals on the zone manager. Otherwise, tekmarNet®4 Thermostats can be connected together via their tN4 terminals.

Benefits:

  • Cooling & heating schedules can be set per thermostat or shared
  • Two or Four Events per day for 24hr, 5-1-1, 5-2, or 7 day schedules
  • Customizable 'Scenes' provide added convenience to the homeowner
  • Energy Savings through temperature setback
  • Interlock between heating & cooling prevents simultaneous operation
  • Backlit digital screen can be set to display preferred View menu item

Viega Hydronic Radiant Heating Systems

Locate an Authorized Reseller

Radiant heating systems in one form or another have been used throughout time. The availability of absolutely safe tubing material from Viega, electronically crosslinked polyethylene (Pextron tubing) and reliable control systems, has made radiant heat a desirable and viable heating solution.

Hydronic radiant heating illustration

For over 20 years Viega, formerly Stadler-Viega, has manufactured systems that provide the unparalled comfort of radiant heat. In brief, a radiant heating installation turns your floors into big and gentle radiators. Pextron tubing is evenly installed throughout the floor. Warm water is circulated through the tubing, heating the floor, objects in contact with the floor and you as well.

The unique features of Viega radiant floor heating are particularly experienced in rooms with high ceilings. The warmth stays at people level without hot air stratification in unused ceiling space.

Learn how you will benefit from the advantages of a Viega radiant floor heating system.

It's just more comfortable.
Viega radiant systems deliver consistent steady heat that keeps your environment evenly warm and toasty with virtually every flooring material.

It's more energy efficient.
With a Viega radiant heating system you will save between 10 and 30 % in energy use vs. forced air heat. This is due to the low operating system water temperatures. Additionally you can set your thermostat lower and still be more comfortable with a warm floor and warmed objects around you; there's less heat loss through walls and ceilings and from open doors and windows.

It adds value to your home.
Viega radiant heating systems turn cold, damp areas into warm, cozy living space.

It's proven.
The Viega, formerly Stadler Corporation, name is assurance that you are getting the best system available and one that is backed by a strong corporation with a proven history and well respected track record. The first PEX radiant heating system installed in North America was a Stadler Corporation system. It is still running flawlessly.

It's more versatile.
Viega radiant heating systems can be installed in new construction and existing homes; over wood or concrete floors; you can heat only the rooms you use, rather than a whole house. With no vents, radiators or cold air returns, you can put furniture wherever you want.

It's healthier.
A Viega radiant heating system has no dry air blowing dust and allergens around. This is the ideal system for anyone bothered by allergies. Comfortably warm feet and a cool head is an old recipe for good health.

It's cleaner and easier to maintain.
With a Viega radiant heating system there are no fans or drafts blowing dust around and no baseboard fins, filters, vents, or ducts to clean.

It's decorator friendly.
With no baseboard, vents or radiators, you can place furniture wherever you want it.
